John,
Voting in Maryland is officially underway: early voting began this past Thursday and ballots are hitting mailboxes. My grandmother Mama Win wasted no time in casting her ballot.
Words can't convey how blessed I feel that my 95-year-old grandmother is here and able to cast her vote for me to become the next governor of the state of Maryland.
Mama Win, I would not be here without you, I am so proud to be your grandson, and I stand on your shoulders.
My grandmother, mother, other family members, teachers, and community leaders all helped raise me, lifting me up and making me the man I am today. Now, I am running for governor to lift up each and every Marylander.
If you haven’t voted already, make sure to vote early or on Election Day this November 8.
And if you can afford to, please pitch in $10 or more to support our people-powered campaign ahead of our final fundraising deadline tomorrow at midnight. Every dollar helps us get out the vote across Maryland in these last, critical days before the polls close.
