In the last election cycle, grassroots donors raised record amounts of money and turned out in record numbers to flip the Senate and take back the White House.

Now, our toes are on the line to make more big, structural changes — to fight back against a deeply anti-democratic GOP, expand our razor-thin majorities, and go into 2023 ready to pass transformational policies not just by the skin of our teeth anymore.

But we have to keep up the fight right now. The GOP is only one Senate seat and five House seats away from taking back control of Congress on November 8, and many Warren Democrats I’ve endorsed are in tight races.

Over time, a democracy with political campaigns funded by a small number of people who can contribute a lot of money looks very different from a democracy with campaigns funded by a large number of people who chip in a little at a time.

It’s the difference between a government that works great for those at the top and a government that can work for everyone.

With a grassroots-funded movement powering Democrats to victory in this year’s midterms, we can actually ensure the right to vote, and the right to get that vote counted. We can ensure that Roe v. Wade is the law of the land everywhere. We can pass universal child care. We can pass immigration reform.

But we won’t be able to get anything done if the Republicans take control.
