I am so grateful that the Washington region has GGWash. As someone who didn't discover the field of urban planning until the end of college, it is striking that we’re seeing people who were reading GGWash in middle school running for elected office. It is incredible to see a rising generation of local leaders that is so knowledgeable and passionate about how decisions about our built environment impact everything from quality of life to overall life expectancy.
We want to make sure we keep sparking curiosity in today’s middle schoolers (and high schoolers, and grown-ups), so that this trend continues for the next 14 years and beyond. But we could really use your help to make that happen. Monthly, recurring contributors are the lifeblood of our publication.
We need to welcome just 5 more Neighbors to the GGWash Neighborhood – our membership program for recurring donors – to reach our goal of 50 new Neighbors by the end of October and stay on track.
Will you join us? Most Neighbors contribute $10 per month or $120 per year, but contributions start at just $5 per month. Every bit of support adds up to make a big impact.
In 2022, we’ve reached over 2 million readers and published more than 500 pieces from 80+ contributors. Let’s keep that energy going. Become a Neighbor today and make sure that important stories keep reaching the people across our region who will become tomorrow’s change-makers.
