I have a special request today—one I don't make very often. I'm asking you to join me in supporting Eric Sorensen's campaign to keep Illinois' 17th Congressional District blue.

It’s no secret that Illinois is ground zero in our effort to keep the House blue. The GOP only needs to flip five seats to take the majority, and one of the districts they are targeting hardest is Eric's right here in Northwest and Central Illinois.
As you read this email, Eric is getting bombarded with TV attacks ads thanks to Kevin McCarthy's super PAC. McCarthy has already admitted that winning the Speaker’s gavel hinges on the outcome of this race.
What I appreciate most about Eric is that he's a hometown candidate who made the decision to run a people-powered campaign that depends on individual donors, his neighbors. He knew it would be a risk, but he held firm to his values and the belief that folks would understand how important his race is.
So far his strategy has paid off, but his team still needs support in the homestretch for critical, last-minute spending decisions that could sway this race:
