Mark Ruffalo here.
I am reaching out to you today to share why I’m enthusiastically
supporting Beto O’Rourke for Governor of Texas.
Texas needs new leadership,
John. Greg Abbott is a cruel and
extreme governor who doesn’t have the people of Texas’ best interests at
heart. He signed the most extreme abortion ban into law — it’s
unconscionable that it has zero exception for rape or incest.
Greg Abbott also failed Texans last year when the power grid went out.
Over 700 Texans lost their lives on his watch. After those lives were
lost, Greg Abbott was left with a choice: serve the people of Texas by
finally fixing the grid, or serve his major donors in the oil and gas
industries by letting them off the hook for price gouging Texans. As you
can guess, Abbott let those executives off the hook.
Beto has a positive vision for the future of Texas. He’s focused on issues
that will improve Texans’ daily lives — world-class schools, expanding
Medicaid, and great jobs that pay a living wage.
I’m supporting Beto for governor because I know that he’ll listen to and
fight for every single Texan — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents
alike.
