Dear John,

Next year, we anticipate Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his allies in the Trump Administration will ramp up their attacks on Social Security and Medicare — and use soaring budget deficits as an excuse to slash earned benefits. That's why we must ensure we are fully prepared to fight against any attack on Americans' retirement and health security.

At the same time, we must continue to press lawmakers to pass legislation that will strengthen Social Security and Medicare, improve the solvency of these vital programs and reduce high prescription drug costs for older Americans!

Will you please help the National Committee reach our critical end-of-year fundraising goal of $50,000 by making a generous gift of $10 or $5 today?

As we enter a highly contentious presidential election year, the National Committee will be working on a number of key fronts to defeat threats to earned benefits, while pushing forward legislation that will help older Americans improve the affordability of their prescription drugs and boost their monthly Social Security benefit checks. And we must all be skeptical of politicians who suggest the only way to save Social Security and Medicare is to slash these programs! So I urge you to fight for the benefits you've paid into and earned during your entire working life by supporting the National Committee today!

You should know that we rely solely on the generosity of our million+ members and supporters — and every dollar makes a difference in this fight! Please make one urgent year-end gift today to help the National Committee meet our critical $50,000 fundraising goal, so that we'll be battle-ready when Congress reconvenes in January.

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
