This campaign has not always been perfect, John.
I’ve spent a lot of time away from my family and friends, spending long hours traveling across Washington State talking to voters about their needs.
It’s all been worth it to see the grassroots movement we’ve started in Washington, but it isn’t always easy.
Last night when I came home late from an event, I went into my son’s room to say goodnight.
His eyes were still closed, but he was sure to ask, “Are you going to be gone early tomorrow morning?” I replied, “Yes, but I’ll be back in a few days.”
He smiled and responded: “You better win!”
