If you know me, then you know that I'm a huge sports fan. I've spent countless weekends taking my kids to practice or cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lightning and Rays.
But, no matter how hard Republicans try to make politics into a game, it's not. We don't have any do-overs. There's no overtime. And it's not just win or lose – the outcome can and will change people's lives. For better or worse.
This might be the last time I talk to you before the election, so I want to emphasize the importance of this race.
My opponent is a danger to America – that’s not an exaggeration.
She is an election denier who is tied to Donald Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and special interest groups like the gun lobby through her campaign funds and campaign support system.
I've spent my career serving alongside veterans and military personnel in the Pentagon – under both Democratic and Republican Secretaries of Defense. I know exactly what it takes to protect our country and to work across the aisle to make sure that Americans stay safe.
Right now, my extremist opponent and I are tied in the polls 47-47. With just over a week left until Election Day, I need your help to improve those numbers and put the odds in favor of Democrats.
