Before things get too busy, I wanted to take a moment to share why I’m in this fight. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Hi John,

With only 10 days left until Election Day, the excitement on the ground is at an all-time high. Things are getting busy, but I wanted to take a moment to share why I’m in this fight, and how I know that in less than two weeks, our people-powered campaign will defeat right-wing extremism in western Pennsylvania.

(But before I do: My team has been crunching the numbers, and right now we are $20,000 behind where we need to be to close out October. Can you chip in to help us head into the final stretch on a high note?)

I decided to run for Congress because I believe in fighting for our common good. To me, common good means putting people first.

It means having a government that builds the best infrastructure in the world, and having union workers build it. It means protecting the right to an abortion before we have right-wing legislatures banning it and putting women and doctors in prison. It means taking on communist China and keeping our jobs and industries in America. It means taking on the unchecked corporate power that’s killed our communities, hurt workers, and crushed small businesses. It means protecting the union way of life so that every worker in our region can form a union freely, with no more union-busting.

My opponent, Jeremy Shaffer, has no answers for the problems we’re facing. Shaffer and the radical right are all too happy to leave working folks behind, because they care more about power than they care about all of us here in Western Pennsylvania.

We are in the economic fight of our life, and western Pennsylvanians deserve better than corporate executive Jeremy Shaffer. I’m ready to rise to this occasion and fight for our common good.

This passion comes from a simple place for me: I love this country – I was willing to die for it. And I believe that an America that works for everyone is something worth fighting for.

But here’s the tough truth, John: We’re being attacked on all sides by National Republicans and dark money groups who don’t want to challenge the power big corporations have in Washington. They’re spending millions to prop up Shaffer and defeat our people-powered team. Is there anything you can chip in to help us fight back?

Let’s make this country the land of hopes and dreams for all of us, and let’s get to work.

Thank you for your time,

Chris Deluzio
