CAMPAIGN UPDATES
ENDORSEMENT ALERT: Walz-Flanagan Campaign Announces Endorsement From Over 30 Mayors
More than 30 mayors from across the state endorsed Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan and say that their re-election is critical to the future of Minnesota.
These mayors say that a key reason for re-electing Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan is that they have spent the last four years striving to get Minnesotans to set aside their differences and work together for the things that make Minnesota the special place that it is. Both have used their leadership skills to bring together diverse interests such as business leaders, educators, city and county leaders, and others to work on developing ideas to make Minnesota’s cities and towns as strong as they can be.
The mayors also pointed to the Governor and Lt. Governor’s continued investment in education as a top reason they support their re-election. From their first days in office, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor have made a major push to expand access to pre-kindergarten, and their most recent budget included major investments in summer learning programs to ensure that students statewide stay up to speed on their education despite the pandemic.
WATCH: Tippy’s Story
We released a new digital ad that features Brooklyn Park resident and mother of three, Tippy Amundson. The video highlights her unique story of pregnancy and motherhood and her support for Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan, while criticizing Scott Jensen for pledging to ban abortion in Minnesota – even for victims of rape and incest.
