Farewell 2019!

Dear everyone,

Thank you for your past support of Muslims for Progressive
Values. We know there are many good causes to give to, and we
hope ours will be one of your choices before 2019 ends!

MPV is made up of one full-time, 2 part-time staff and dedicated
volunteers, and here's a summary of what we accomplished together
in 2019:

* Politics: Progressive political candidates reached out to us
for advice on issues they should be paying attention to.
* UN: Co-organized and spoke at 6 UN side events supporting the
rights of women and girls, LGBTQI+ inclusion, and Freedom of
Religion and Belief
* Community: Our chapters held 160+ gatherings.
* Social Media: Grew our social media communities to 46,000+
people who talk with us about progressive Islam online.
* LGBTQI+ Inclusion: Participated in Pride Weekend in 7 cities
around the US. MPV also built and led a coalition of 12 Muslim
organizations in supporting civil rights protections for LGBTQ+
employees.
* Women’s Rights: Participated in Women’s Marches in 3 cities and
advocated for women’s full sexual and reproductive autonomy
through coalition work. We also raised the profile of FGM/C
in media by over 312 million views.
* #ImamsForShe: Completed our 4th year of operations in Burundi
and expanded to Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
* #ClubsForShe: Expanded programming in Burundi and trained 750
women in entrepreneurial skills.
* Culture: Co-sponsored over 10 film festival screenings on
progressive Islam, including at the Cannes Film Festival.
* Interfaith Work: Held 20+ interfaith community events with
Jewish, Hindu, and Christian progressive communities.
