In the final weeks before the midterm election, Republicans are advertising the backwards things they’ll do if they take control of the House. And — spoiler alert — none of it is good.

There are two schools of thought in the Republican Party right now — and honestly, I’m not sure which one is worse.

The first group wants to use the power of the majority to push their legislative agenda. This includes banning abortion nationwide, undermining the Affordable Care Act even if they can’t muster the votes to fully repeal it (because it has that much bipartisan popularity among voters), finishing the border wall and naming it after Donald Trump, and giving more tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of working families.

The second group wants to use their power to attack the Biden administration, pulling officials into baseless investigations. They feel wronged because during the most corrupt presidency of our lifetimes, Democrats led congressional investigations into actual wrongdoing by President Trump and his cronies. Now they just want revenge.

This is where we’re headed if Republicans win control in November. We have to stop them. Will you split a contribution to help us stop the party of Trump in its tracks?
