John- Dan Crenshaw here. This week, I visited our southern border in McAllen, TX to call attention to the Biden Administration’s disastrous open border policies. And as early voting kicked off in Texas, I highlighted the critical races we’ve got in Harris County—where voters have one chance to end the skyrocketing assault and murder rates under Lina Hidalgo and Democrat activist judges. And I called on Republicans to once again unite behind the time-tested principles of Reagan conservatism. As always, thank you for your support. Now, here’s your brief: A HARSH REALITY CHECK On Monday, I visited our southern border in McAllen, TX where in the last 4 weeks alone nearly 26,000 illegal immigrants passed through the Rio Grande Valley sector of the border. This crisis is being outright ignored by the Biden administration, which is only incentivizing record breaking crossing and some of the most disastrous policies we’ve ever seen. It’s time for Democrats to get a harsh reality check. Fentanyl is coming across our border in droves, and is now the #1 cause of death in young adults. Cartels are fully enriched by this crisis, gaining more power every day. Enough is enough. I will do everything in my power to secure our border next Congress. This is a bipartisan issue that affects every American, and we need to start acting like it. When Republicans take the majority this November, we are going to hold this failing administration accountable for their complete dereliction of duty. That’s why I’m running for Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee. THIS IS NOT HYPERBOLE Early voting is underway in Texas, and these numbers don’t lie: Lina Hidalgo and the wave of Democrat judges elected since 2018 have made Harris County less safe. Their policies led to skyrocketing crime and lawlessness, and created a revolving door in the county’s courthouse. This is not hyperbole. Democrat judges’ weak-on-crime approach is killing Harris County residents. It’s not crazy to say that you should be able to leave your home without worrying about becoming a victim of a crime. The only solution is to elect Republican judges who will restore faith in our criminal justice system. The ballot is long, but it’s important to click all the way through and vote for Republican judges—they need your support. To beat the increasingly radical left, conservatives must unite to win. We must persuade those who disagree with us—and avoid petty manufactured divides in the conservative movement. Our success will be achieved by embracing the time-tested principles that Reagan defended so well, not by giving into the bitterness and grievances pushed by those who just want attention and social media clicks.
