In just a few days, we will close the books on the final – and most important – end-of-month fundraising deadline of our re-election campaign.

Our strength to defend this seat hinges on whether we receive enough grassroots donations before this critical deadline.

With national Republicans actively targeting me for defeat, we cannot afford to be in a position of weakness.

My opponent has been at one megadonor fundraiser after another. She's been courted by Ronna McDaniel and Rick Scott – heads of the RNC and Senate GOP campaign arm, respectively. She's been at Mar-a-Lago with Donald Trump, raking in huge sums of money for her campaign.

Meanwhile, a right-wing super PAC affiliated with my opponent has launched a misleading smear campaign against me across the airwaves.

So we've increased our fundraising goals to make sure we can fight back effectively and keep this seat blue. I've asked this team to come through in tough moments before, and I know you'll do it again. I know you care too much about Democratic control of the Senate to do otherwise. So please, ahead of the final and most important end-of-month deadline of this election, can you donate $5 – or whatever you can spare – to help me hit this goal, protect Connecticut's seat, and defend control of the Senate?
