Traffic Solutions for Riverside County
I’m incredibly proud of my work in collaboration with the city of Temecula and others that resulted in a $50 million federal grant for the Interstate 15/French Valley Parkway project. The grant will make necessary improvements to reduce traffic congestion through Temecula and southwest Riverside County.
A recent Press Enterprise article highlighted the importance of the project and the historic nature of the federal grant that is making construction possible in the near future.

This effort will be the largest construction road project in city history
“The city was awarded $50 million for the project by the federal government in 2019. The feds only doled out $900 million total that year, so Temecula’s take was huge. Thomas called the city’s funding award “extraordinary.”
Temecula was the only California city to receive money that year. Projects also went to bigger-named cities such as Dallas, Miami, Cleveland, Baltimore, Providence — and little Temecula.”
