Friend, it's Gary Peters, DSCC Chair. These days I've been thinking a lot about how the morning after the election will play out. Bear with me for just a minute and picture that morning.
You wake up, check the news, and release a breath you didn't know that you were holding: Democrats didn't just hold the Senate, we expanded our majority!
We did what we set out to do. We've kept Mitch McConnell from power, we've stopped Trump's momentum, and we've won two more years to pass President Biden's agenda. You remember the $5 donation that you made to help Democrats win and you feel proud, knowing that you played a part in this incredible victory.
If you want to make this scenario a reality, I need you to stand with me and our Democratic candidates before it's too late: Please, will you chip in $5 so that Democrats can pull ahead in key states before Election Day?
Because what will happen if we don't give this election everything that we have? What if you wake up that morning, check the news, and your heart sinks reading the headline: Democrats lose Senate control, McConnell incoming Majority Leader.
Fear will set in first. Who knows what Mitch McConnell will do with this power? We can certainly say goodbye to any more progress on President Biden's agenda. The regret will hit next. You'll remember how Democrats asked for your help in these final weeks. Maybe you'll even remember reading this exact email. But in this scenario, not enough Democrats made that $5 donation – maybe even you decided to just delete this email instead of standing with our candidates.
There's too much on the line to not put everything we have into defending our Senate majority. That's why today, just 10 days before the election, I am personally asking: Please, will you donate $5 right now to make sure that the morning after Election Day we don't have any regrets?
If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I know that this is a challenging moment for our country and for many of us personally. But I also know that, together, this team has what it takes to win.
Thank you,
Gary Peters
DSCC Chair
