John – Congressional Republicans have made their agenda crystal clear. If they are allowed to take back the majority on November 8th, they will fight to pass a national ban on abortion.

Our reproductive freedoms, our voting rights, and so much more are on the line this November. And BNC-endorsed candidate Odessa Kelly is fighting back.

Odessa is running to flip Tennessee’s 7th congressional district, and today she has two important events that you will want to join if you are in the Nashville area.

First up: a Souls to the Polls Rally to get out the vote, happening at 10am CT this morning at the Bordeaux Library.

Then at 2pm CT there is a Roe the Vote Rally at the West Park Community Center.

A collage of two graphics. On the left is a graphic featuring a photo of Odessa Kelly wearing a tan blazer and a dark blue shirt, smiling confidently. The caption reads: “Souls to the Polls Rally featuring Odessa Kelly. Saturday October 29, 10:00 am Central Time. Bordeaux Library, 4000 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, Tennessee, 37218.” On the right is a graphic featuring photos of Odessa Kelly and singer-songwriter Morgan (spelled with an x in the place of the a). The caption reads: “Roe the Vote featuring Odessa Kelly and Morgan. Saturday October 29, 2:00pm Central Time. West Park Community Center 6105 Morrow Road, Nashville, Tennessee, 37209.” The rally is co-sponsored by Planned Parenthood, Beyond Roe and East Nashville Uniters in Action.

I had the honor of visiting with Odessa in Nashville just a few weeks ago, rallying voters to flip this seat and make Odessa the first Black woman to represent Tennessee and the first openly gay Black woman elected to Congress. I saw firsthand how committed she is to her community, and that her community is fully behind her campaign.

A collage of three photos. The top left photo shows BNC Executive Director Adrienne Bell standing between two campaign signs for Odessa Kelly. Behind her, other participants in the rally are leaning forward and making goofy faces at the camera. The top right photo features Adrienne with Odessa Kelly. Odessa is wearing a red hoodie with the words “Black women lead” in all caps with a hashtag. Adrienne is wearing a pink shirt with an artistic depiction of a Black woman and large earrings that say “VOTE.” The bottom photo is a group shot showing many of the event participants. The caption reads: “On the ground with Odessa Kelly!” with the Brand New Congress logo beneath

Odessa is a natural organizer and a strong community leader. Her campaign has all the momentum needed to win on November 8th and flip this seat.

But with early voting already underway and Election Day just 10 days away, many voters still don’t know there’s an election happening.

We need to help Odessa bring this home. Can you rush a split contribution between Brand New Congress and Odessa’s bold, progressive campaign to represent Nashville in Congress?

Odessa has been catching the media’s attention ever since it was revealed that her 100% people-funded campaign actually OUTRAISED the incumbent, GOP Representative Mark Green, last quarter.

Odessa was recently featured in Essence as one of many Black women poised to make history in this year’s election.

A graphic featuring a composition of two screenshots from Essence Magazine. The first, on the left, shows a photo of Odessa Kelly, wearing a dark blue shirt and smiling warmly, with the headline “Black Women Poised to Make History in the 2022 Midterm Elections - Essence highlights some of the Women who could make Black history in key midterm races across the country.” The second screenshot, on the right, features a snippet of their piece about Odessa, which reads: “Odessa Kelly is a longtime public servant, activist, and mother of two running to represent Tennessee’s recently redrawn seventh congressional district. If elected in November, Kelly would make history on multiple fronts. She would be the first Black woman to represent Tennessee in Congress and the first openly gay Black woman to be elected to Congress, ever.”

We are so proud to stand with Odessa and her visionary, bold progressive campaign to represent Tennessee’s 7th district.

Will you join Brand New Congress and split a contribution with BNC and Odessa’s campaign now to flip this seat on November 8th?

Here’s to a Tennessee win!

Since 2016 BNC has led the way in advancing popular policies like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal and electing bold progressive fighters. We recruited and elected AOC in 2018 and Cori Bush in 2020. With seven BNC Reps currently in office, we are growing progressive power in Congress.

This November we’re working to flip multiple red seats, fill open seats with bold progressives, and elect our first BNC Senator by defeating Rand Paul.

Pitch in today and join us as we take over Congress and return power to the people.
