It’s time to end Israel’s military detention of Palestinian children: In the early hours of Oct. 18, Israeli soldiers entered the home of 16-year-old Shadi Khoury, a student at Ramallah Friends School. They beat him, dragged him from his house, and detained him without charge or trial. AFSC calls for the immediate release of Shadi and all Palestinian children held in Israeli military detention.
Sign the petition: Demand Congress put an end to private prisons: Private prison facilities are notorious for overcrowding, medical negligence, inhumane living conditions, and abusing people in their custody. Yet, federal and state lawmakers keep pouring money into them. Please join AFSC, Daily Kos, and other partners to demand an end to all contracts with private prisons.
