As a former elementary school teacher, I didn't have
statistics in my classroom. I had hungry boys and girls. And I'm sad
to say I'm all-too-familiar with the hardships kids face.

When Ada gets to school every day, she has a
wholesome, healthy breakfast. And before she goes home at night, she
gets an afterschool meal.

These meals are vital for Ada because, even
though her parents work hard, they still can't make ends meet. You
see, her mom lost her full-time job when she was diagnosed with
cancer, and her family feared they'd
have to choose between going to the doctor
and buying groceries.

Thanks to supporters like you, they didn't
have to make that choice. At school, Ada gets the food she needs to
thrive. But so many others still live with hunger.
