John, a healthy democracy depends on eligible voters having access to the ballot box, frequent elections, truth and facts, and government leaders who will uphold the will of the voters.

It relies on peaceful transitions of power, where the losing party gracefully concedes. In sum, a healthy democracy puts voters first.

But what could undermine a democracy is people who put their own political agenda ahead of who voters pick, people who want to make it harder for citizens to register and to cast a ballot, and even people who spread lies and conspiracy theories about election results.
