Here are a few of the highlights from this week’s debate:
* Andy tried to moderate his extremist views on abortion. His track record is clear: he is a current co-sponsor of a bill to ban abortion nationwide with no exceptions, but he knows his toxic position is wildly out of step with the First District.
* Andy mocked Heather’s 10-part EconomyFirst plan after Heather took him to task for having no solutions to support our local First District economy.
* After the debate, Andy told reporters that the deadly events of January 6th were nothing more than “a protest gone awry.” And unsurprisingly, Andy refused to tell voters what he and Trump discussed when they met at the White House to plan the January 6th insurrection, even when pressed by Heather.
Throughout the debate, Andy reminded us just how radical and dangerous he is. He has betrayed his oath of office and the First District deserves better than his failed leadership.
