ON THE DOCKET:  Firefly Aerospace Launch Celebration ICON Tour An Economy that’s Strong Congressional App Challenge THE BRIEF: This Halloween will be scarier than usual, with candy prices up over 13% and pumpkin prices up over 7% since last year! In September, there were 227,547 illegal immigrant encounters at our southern border. Americans could pay the highest costs in 25 years to heat their homes this winter. Representative Carter joins Firefly Aerospace staff to celebrate their successful launch. FIREFLY AEROSPACE LAUNCH CELEBRATION I had the privilege of joining Firefly Aerospace to celebrate the successful launch of their rocket into low-Earth orbit, making them one of only a few private companies to have accomplished such a feat. I’m proud to see Central Texas innovators like Firefly leading the way into the future of space exploration. I look forward to our continued partnership and wish them success! Congressman Carter tours ICON’s first 3D printed home. ICON TOUR ICON’s 3D-printing technology has broad applications in the housing, defense, and space industries. From printing homes to military barracks to Mars habitats, this company is revolutionizing the construction industry. I recently visited with ICON’s leadership and toured their "House Zero," a 3D-printed home in Central Texas. I am excited that a Texas company is championing this innovative technology! Yes No 2022 CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE The Congressional App Challenge is an academic competition promoting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
