I’m writing to you with a sense of urgency about Nevada’s Senate race – where our nation’s first Latina senator, Catherine Cortez Masto, is locked in a battleground race with a Trump-backed extremist. Polling shows Catherine in a statistical tie, and political forecasters across the board are predicting Senate control will come down to this race.

Unsurprisingly, Mitch McConnell is spending tremendous amounts of money to defeat Catherine: He and his super PAC alone are shelling out $25 million on attack ads, and it’s because he knows flipping Nevada red is his surest pathway back to regaining control of the Senate.

I do not want to see a Republican-controlled Senate that hampers all the progress we’ve made while trampling over women’s rights, Medicare and Social Security, and our democracy itself. But preventing that from happening comes down to whether Catherine has the resources to fight back in these final days and win.

That’s why, with a group of donors triple-matching all grassroots donations to protect this seat, I’m asking you to make a contribution: Donate $5 or whatever you can spare – every dollar will be tripled – to help Catherine Cortez Masto win in Nevada and defend our Democratic Senate majority.
