We got an envelope in the mail a few days ago, and since we’re facing our
final end-of-month fundraising deadline before Election Day, we were
excited to see that it was a check — and a big one at that.

Then, we looked at who had sent it. And shredded it.

A well-intentioned organization that just wasn’t aware that Cori’s
campaign doesn’t accept any corporate PAC contributions. No matter what.

We called the organization, thanked them for their interest in helping to
re-elect Cori, and let them know that we’d be shredding the check. They
understood.

Why turn down money we could *really* use? Especially ahead of our last
major deadline before ballots are cast?

Since the very beginning, Cori has refused to accept a single cent from
corporate PACs — so no lobbyist or corporate special interests get any
idea they can just pay to play.

Instead, she keeps something different front-of-mind when setting her
agenda in Congress. Like the hardships caused by being forced to work a
job that fails to pay a living wage and she knows what it’s like to be
uninsured, or racking-up medical debt just to survive. Cori has never
wavered — and will never waver in her fight for the people — but it also
means our campaign operates entirely on grassroots donations from
