We Need an Economy That Helps American Families and Seniors
Friend,
It's harder and harder to get by, and wages aren't keeping up with inflation.
We need to bring costs down and get our economy back on track. This starts with unleashing American energy and stopping reckless spending. I joined Bloomberg to discuss how we can turn the corner. Click below to watch.
Wisconsin Family Budgets Being Stretched
Every day we notice prices continue to stay high. Wisconsin family budgets have seen a drastic increase in prices the last year. In the last year, families have paid an additional $688 per month. The increase in gas prices, grocery bills, home heating costs, to rents and home prices, are putting a strain on budgets.
In the last two years, one party control in Washington has passed over $9 trillion in new government spending. This is driving up costs. We should be far more targeted with our spending. Another driver of high prices is energy costs. Whether it's the diesel tractor used to farm or the truck driving our supply chain forward, we must invest in American energy production to reduce costs.
Our energy solution should be an all of the above energy approach. We should invest in all forms of energy. This includes oil and natural gas, wind, solar, nuclear, and more. As we head into winter months, Wisconsin home heating costs are expected to rise roughly $120 to $180 this season. We can bring costs down by unleashing American energy.
I'm staying focused on how we can bring costs down and make every day costs more affordable for Wisconsin families.
