Prosecuting traffickers while protecting survivors from re-traumatization
The Videotaped In-Depth Disclosure Interviews (VIDI) framework uses years of legal, academic and practical knowledge to present the model for conducting interviews that can be recorded and used throughout investigations, court procedures and in aftercare, shielding survivors from multiple retellings of their abuse and from having to face abusers, often family members or relatives of the victims in court.

15 million young women have faced sexual violence worldwide
15 million^1 is too many and Sonia* was only 16 when she was sexually assaulted by her grandfather. But her father advocated for her and nearly 3 years after the assault took place, the High Court found the perpetrator guilty of sexually assaulting his granddaughter. On Monday, August 15, 2022, the perpetrator was sentenced to 20 years in jail.

Justice for Vania*
On a July evening Vania, then 7, was walking back home from school when she met a man her family knew. The man forcefully grabbed Vania and dragged her to a nearby bush and sexually assaulted her. That was in June 2016. More than six years later, thanks to intervention by International Justice Mission, the man who abused Vania will now serve 50 years in prison for what he did.

10 journalists join in the fight against violence
As part of IJM Ghana’s efforts to increase awareness of human trafficking using mass media and also maintain a strategic relationship with journalists and media houses, IJM empowered ten young and vibrant journalists from various media houses, radio, television and print media through a flagship program called, Young Journalist Fellowship Program.
