The City of Auburn, in response to recent property valuation adjustments, is seeking to offset a portion of the increase many residents saw in their 2022-2023 tax bill. The city will issue a one-time $300 relief payment to Auburn homeowners aged 65 and older, whose annual property taxes increased by $300.00 dollars or more, and who currently qualify for/receive the Maine homestead exemption.
