Dear John,
I wanted to follow up on yesterday's email with some great news! Today a bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers joined the growing demands for tech companies to grant Iranians access to important online communications tools.
Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-NJ), along with bipartisan legislators in the House and Senate, sent a letter to major internet companies calling on them to use the Biden administration’s new internet freedom license and restore online tools and services for the people of Iran.
This is a letter that we strongly supported. It will increase pressure on tech companies to quit dragging their feet and do what is needed to give the Iranian people access to key tools to evade the Iranian government’s censors and security apparatus.
As Rep. Malinowski told Axios, “We're not seeing nearly enough,” from the big tech firms. “Iranians are risking their lives, and these big companies seem to be unwilling to risk anything, and that's just wrong."

Let’s keep up the pressure. These companies have no excuse and must take action NOW to restore services for Iranians. Sign our petition today.

Sincerely,
