Hello,

Have you enrolled in Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)? PSLF is a program that cancels the outstanding balance of your federal student loan debt after 10 years of payments while working for local, state, federal or tribal government, the U.S. military and/or nonprofit organizations registered as a 501c3.

The federal government is offering a one-time Limited PSLF waiver that expands which payments qualify for cancellation, like Direct Loans or loans consolidated into Direct Loans. So, even if you haven’t enrolled in the program, but you’ve made payments on your federal student loans, those may qualify! The clock is ticking: Enroll by October 31st to take full advantage of this benefit and let your colleagues and partners know.

The Center for Responsible Lending recently hosted a webinar with the Department of Education to walk recipients through how to apply for PSLF and benefit from the Limited Waiver, check out our recent webinar.

Warmly,
