As of Oct. 28, there have been 8,935 breakthrough cases in Galveston County. That?s about 4 percent breakthrough. More than 210,668 Galveston County residents are fully vaccinated.??????????

To date, a total of 23,292 probable cases have been reported for Galveston County. As stated previously, probable cases are reported separate from confirmed cases. A probable case means a person tested positive for antigens or antibodies and also met the probable case definition from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Probable cases are not included in the county's confirmed case count because an antibody test and antigen test are not lab confirmed PCR tests.??
