Let me tell you why I’m supporting John Fetterman to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.
The United States was once a global leader in manufacturing. From the steel mills of Pittsburgh to the computer manufacturing facilities of California, we moved from ideas to finished products all within our borders. But now, American manufacturing is dying. Between 1979 and 2010, companies moved over 40 percent of manufacturing jobs overseas in search of cheap labor.
To John, this isn’t just a historical footnote. He’s watched communities decimated by the closing of steel mills and factories, the loss of union jobs that paid livable wages. But these communities are resilient. They’re putting in the work and fighting to make things better, just like John Fetterman himself.
From the very start of his career, John has dedicated himself to fighting for hardworking Americans — not the rich and powerful. He has advocated for bringing well-paying, unionized manufacturing jobs back to the United States.
John is facing a tight race against Dr. Oz right now. As he showed us in this week’s debate, he’s going to keep fighting to ensure that our country, and by extension our economy, operates by and for the hardworking people of this nation.
Two votes in the Senate are all that stand between a brighter future for the American people, which is why winning this seat is critical for retaining Democratic control in the Senate. With less than two weeks until Election Day, we must do all we can to support John’s campaign.
