Friend,
Yesterday, in Clive, Iowa, I held the first of a series of events we call "Cup of Joe on the Issues,” talking about Iran and national security. You can watch the recording - which was live streamed on Facebook - here.
I talked about why saber-rattling in the Middle East is bringing us closer to senseless conflict, the limitations of our military in operating in the region, and why we must return to the Iran nuclear deal. I also fielded questions on China, 5G and "training for a lifetime” of our labor force.
As a former Navy 3-star Admiral, former White House Director of Defense Policy, Harvard PhD in Political Economy and Government, and former Congressman sitting on the Armed Services Committee, I am uniquely qualified to tackle the challenges we face.
But I can't best make that case to the nation unless I get on Fall’s Democratic debate stage - and to do that, I need your help. Please contribute, as we must have 130,000 unique donors (even giving as little as one dollar to the campaign).
Please contribute to help ensure a former Admiral who commanded an aircraft carrier battle group in the Arabian Sea — and coordinated the national security strategy for President Clinton’s Administration in the White House — can make it onto the debate stage!
Respectfully,
Joe Sestak
