Glitz and Glamour: Searching for Italy tours the Italian Riviera in this Sunday's season finale |
This Sunday’s season finale of Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy takes us on a stroll through the Italian Riviera, also known as Liguria. From the glitz and glamour of Portofino to the Instagram-worthy villages of Cinque Terre, the region is marked by iconic sceneries in even the most rugged places.
The season finale also gives viewers an intimate look at the diverse food cultures of the Italian Riviera. Liguria’s sloping and mountainous geography gifts its natives with fresh ingredients ripe for appetizing recipes like its world-famous pesto, a staple in trenette al pesto – one of Tucci's favorite Ligurian dishes. From the very first moment, viewers are transported to Portofino, then taken on a cross-region tour through Genoa, Taggia, Corniglia and finally, setting sail in the Ligurian sea.
