Have you had your flu and Covid autumn booster vaccinations yet?

It's important that we all continue to get our flu jab and Covid boosters as they remain our best protection against the viruses.

People aged 50 and over, and others including people with certain health conditions, carers, and frontline health & social care workers can now boost their immunity this winter.

There are plenty of sites across Nottingham, making it easier to get your immunity topped up before winter, including a Vaccination Centre inside The Courtaulds Building in Haydn Road, Sherwood. The site offers first, second and Booster doses, including the autumn booster.

You can find your nearest vaccination centre and book online [ [link removed] ].

Consultation on new powers to improve safety on Nottingham roads

We'd like to hear your thoughts on our plans to take on new powers to improve road safety in the city by introducing camera enforcement of illegal behaviours at four locations in Nottingham.

The Department of Transport has opened the door for local councils to take over enforcing moving-traffic violations, previously the responsibility of the police. This would cover dangerous behaviours from a minority of drivers who are ignoring no right turn or no U-turn signage, putting pedestrians and cyclists who are crossing with a green man in danger.

Find out more and fill in the survey [ [link removed] ] ? we?d also like to hear from you about other locations you feel would benefit from these measures.

Have your say on changes to waste and recycling in our upcoming events

Waste and recycling [ [link removed] ]

The UK Government has introduced new targets to improve recycling rates in England and bring more consistency to how rubbish and recycling are collected across the country. We need to make changes to reduce waste and improve recycling rates in the city.

Nottingham City Council has created a draft strategy which covers:

* Food waste collections
* Changes to recycling collections
* Supporting residents to create less waste

To finalise the strategy, the City Council is asking for feedback from residents, businesses and organisations. If you have comments, questions or concerns, you are invited to share them at the upcoming consultation events:

* Online ? 4pm-6pm, 2 November, sign up on Eventbrite [ [link removed] ]
* Clifton Library ? 10.15am-11.45am, 16 November

To read more about the proposed changes, visit the Engage Hub [ [link removed] ] where you can find all of the details.
