1. IFFNC: Watch new "Life is on the ballot. Will your vote be?" Video

Check out this great new GOTV video launched by our sister organization, The Institute for Faith and Family:

“Our vote is the difference between life and death. Extreme pro-abortion leaders in NC oppose human rights efforts to save infants from painful drawn out death after surviving botched abortions. Their radical views and legislative actions can only be stopped by pro-life voters. This year, with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, we have a direct and historic opportunity to out vote extremists who side with the cruel killing of innocent babies. That's why we're calling on you to come out, stand up, and make a change for life. So join us. Bring your family, bring your friends, and together, let's bring life back to North Carolina.

Early voting has begun and ends on November 5th, and election day is Tuesday, November 8th.

2. NC VALUES: NC, destination of death?

It was reported by Planned Parenthood recently that North Carolina’s abortion numbers have tripled since June. The pro-choice movement has been busy fluffing the pillows for “abortion tourism” and engaging in political theater to lure abortion seekers from out of state while scaring voters. North Carolina is poised to become “The Abortion Destination of the South” and only pro-life voters can stop it.

3. NATIONAL REVIEW: NHS Warns Most Trans-Identifying Children Going Through ‘Transient Phase’

“The National Health Services (NHS) of England, the country’s publicly funded healthcare provider, has warned that most children who identify as transgender are experiencing a ‘transient phase.’ The statement is reflective of ‘evidence that in most cases gender incongruence does not persist into adolescence,’ the NHS report states.”

4. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Budd leads Beasley 47% to 43% in new U.S. Senate poll

"Three recent polls have put Republican Ted Budd ahead of Democrat Cheri Beasley as the race for North Carolina's open U.S. Senate seat enters the homestretch. The new poll results reflect a nationwide trend in the GOP’s favor, as voters cite concerns about the economy and raging inflation as top-of-mind issues."

5. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Planned Parenthood seeks to loosen restrictions for performing abortions in NC

“In a court motion filed Oct. 17, Planned Parenthood is asking a state court to block a law that prevents nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and physician assistants from administering the abortion pill in North Carolina.

The move is in line with abortion supporters efforts this year to make the Tar Heel State a ‘haven’ for abortion in the Southeast, after most neighboring states have enacted abortion restrictions in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade this summer.”

“‘This goes to show that abortion isn’t about doing what’s right for women. It’s about money,’ said Laura Macklem, press and political director with the N.C. Values Coalition, a pro-life advocacy group, told CJ. ‘To downgrade medical standards for a procedure which leaves one in five women with complications shows they are desperate to make abortion the only choice. It’s disgraceful to treat the killing of innocent children like a business transaction, finding alternative ways to market death.’”

Weekly Prayer: Officials

LORD, you also have instructed us to pray for our governing officials, and we come to you in the spirit of this petition. We pray for our national government and its executive, legislative, and judicial servants. May they indeed be servants unto the people, and govern in a manner that protects liberty and virtue. In the same spirit, we pray for public servants across our state and local governments. May they all heed your mandate in Romans 13:4 to be in positions of authority as "God's servant" and for the "good" of the public. They govern in what we confess are difficult times. May they plead with you to give them wisdom, and may your grace to govern wisely be poured out on them.

Protect us from the oppression and loss of freedoms that other countries have experienced, and help us to value and preserve freedom, which we know comes only from You.

"I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt.  I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free.  Now come, I will send you back to Egypt." Acts 7:34 (God's words to Moses)

Amen
