I shared in a previous newsletter that the Ahwatukee Sign Slasher had
sliced my street corner signs.

I would replace the signs; the Slasher would destroy them the next day.
It was a cycle of destruction and bullying on their part.

This week, I started to remove my destroyed signs and rebar to clean up
the corners.

I was deep in thought thinking about the people who also had their signs
destroyed when I heard a voice.

"Hey, what are you doing?" the voice called out to me as I was
removing pieces of one of my signs.

I looked up and saw a woman talking to me. She was making sure no harm
was being done to the signs.

I broke out in a huge smile, walked towards her, and introduced myself.

Less than a minute before I was thinking how the Slasher was attempting
to foist their hate and division on our community and now a stranger was
bringing us together.

We talked as we cleaned up the area and it turns out she lives in my
neighborhood.

Slasher, I know it wasn't your intention, thank you for bringing
neighbors together. We are a community with numerous acts of kindness
and we look out for each other.

No one will ever take that from us.

As your Councilwoman I will do everything in my power to help mend the
tear in the fabric of our community.

I know together we can be the community of "us".

One neighbor at a time.

If you have my back, can you send a donation of any amount right now?
Your support will carry us to Election Day, and I'm just so deeply
grateful.

With your help (and vote if you live in the district) District 6 and
Phoenix will have a community-focused, integrity-driven, and
compassionate Councilwoman.

****Please share this email with your family, neighbors, and friends!

The amount isn't as important as the donation itself because it's
going to take a lot of people chipping in as much as they can to reach
our goal. A win this November is a win for our families and businesses.

Thank you for your trust and support,

Joan Greene
