In just two days, it'll be 2020 -- finally. I've got to tell you: I cannot wait.

Don't get me wrong, we've made incredible progress this year. From defending the Affordable Care Act to securing 12 weeks paid parental leave for federal workers across the country, there's plenty to be proud of. But we can't ignore the obvious: Real progress will come when we defeat Donald Trump and take back the Senate.

I will fight tooth-and-nail every single day in 2020, just like I did in 2019, to do just that -- but I need your help. I'm trying to raise $5,000 by midnight tomorrow to prepare for the year and the fights ahead: Will you donate $5.00 or more now to power this grassroots movement?

As the leader for the Democrats in the Senate, it's my job to make sure our priorities aren't forgotten -- even when Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are in charge.

So far, we've done a pretty good job of keeping the wolves from the door while also fighting for progress on big issues like health care, climate change, gun violence prevention, and more. But we can only make the progress our country demands and our country needs by taking back the Senate.

That means looking for every opportunity to flip every Republican-held Senate seat in 2020 -- because the best way to protect our progress, and secure even more, is to elect Democrats to every seat we can.
