National Recycling Week first began in 1996 and takes place every year during the second week of November. In addition to reducing the overall amount of waste that ends up in landfills and our ecosystems, recycling can save energy, save money, and reduce greenhouse gasses and other pollution. But don’t forget — it is always best to reduce consumption and reuse the things you already own before resorting to recycling. |
