John,
Welcome to our October newsletter! This month, we’re doing things a little differently and highlighting ways to get involved ahead of Election Day. Please take a moment to look at the different ways you can help get out the vote for WFP candidates — and sign up for a shift (or three!).
But first — if you missed our virtual midterm rally last week, you can watch it here. We heard from so many WFP champions, like Bernie Sanders, Ayanna Pressley, Jamie McCleod-Skinner, and Summer Lee.
UPCOMING EVENTS
WFP National Call Party!
(Saturday, Oct 29, at 2pm EDT, Wednesday, Nov 2, at 6pm EDT, Thursday, Nov 3, at 7pm EDT, and Saturday, Nov 5, at 2p, EDT)
To win a Working Families Majority in Congress, we're calling for incredible candidates all across the country. We’ll provide you with a script and our tool to reach voters across the country about how they can support transformative leaders this election season. Real-time conversations like the ones you’ll have at a call party are one of the most effective ways to persuade voters to actually get out and vote.
WFP Weekly Text Party
(Tuesday, Nov 1, at 6pm EDT and Wednesday, Nov 2, at 9pm EDT)
Become a WFP texter! Our text tool will help you reach lots of voters in a short amount of time using our detailed script to help you handle any scenario. Text banks are a highly efficient way to get information out to voters in our key races.
Digital Defense Squad Trainings
(Thursday, Oct 27, at 7:30pm EDT and Thursday, Nov 3, at 7:30pm EDT)
At a Digital Defense Squad training, we’ll walk you through how you can post your way to a Working Families Majority. As a member of the Digital Defense Squad, you’ll reach voters where they are and help combat misinformation and scare tactics from the far right.
Weekly Phonebank For Jamie McLeod-Skinner
(Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8pm PDT, Saturdays at 1:30pm PDT)
Join us as we take over the airwaves and get the message out to vote for Jamie for Congress! We hold short trainings over Zoom before each shift begins, and are able to answer any questions that might come up. Whether you are a season pro or this is your first time on the phones, we've got you covered.
Call Party to Elect Mandela Barnes to the Senate
(Thursdays, 7-9pm EDT)
Join us to talk to voters about Mandela Barnes and why he's the best choice for the Senate! We'll provide training, scripts and the folks to call and make it easy for you to get involved.
