Halloween hours & guidelines

trick or treat hours 2022

Halloween is Monday, Oct. 31!

The Village's recommended trick-or-treating hours [ [link removed] ] for Halloween, Monday, October 31, are 3:30 to 8 p.m.?

If you choose not to participate in handing out treats, please turn off your porch light.

Drivers should use extra caution on roads and watch for children crossing streets and driveways. Parents can take a few simple steps to ensure their children's safety this Halloween:

* Make sure masks do not block children?s front and side vision.
* If you are trick-or-treating after dark, use reflective tape on costumes and carry a flashlight.
* Young children should be accompanied by a responsible adult while trick-or-treating.
* Know the routes that older, unaccompanied children are planning to take and set a time for them to be home. Children should go out in groups rather than by themselves.
* Review treats collected by your children. Tampering with Halloween treats is exceptionally rare, but if any treats show signs of possible tampering, call the Oswego Police Department.

The Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce/Downtown Business Association is hosting trick-or-treating on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check out this map [ [link removed] ] for participating merchants.??
