You hear us talking about Medicare and Medicaid a lot, and that’s because they’re such a key part of health care in America, covering millions of people across the country. Chances are, if you’re not a recipient yourself, you know someone who is. 
 
Medicare ensures that older Americans get the quality care they need, while Medicaid helps low-income adults, children and others. Both programs help hospitals and health systems deliver that essential care. And yet, despite its necessity, these programs can face funding cuts when Congress debates federal spending. The only way to stop those cuts is by coming together to make our voices heard and demanding that Congress take action. 
 
As we approach the end of the year, there’s a good chance Medicare will be at risk again due to automatic funding cuts, and we’ll need your help to stop devastating cuts to patient care. We’ll keep you posted on any updates and ways you can get involved to protect Medicare when the time comes.
