When I first ran for office over 35 years ago, I was fighting against a corrupt history of politics in Chicago. Latino voters had been unlawfully purged from voter rolls, bad actors across the city were targeting labor organizers, and the people fighting for a progressive future were giving their lives for the cause.
My early experience has stayed with me as I continue to fight for a better future for us all. From local to county, state, and now federal office, the fire ignited in me burns bright. But I can only do this with like minded progressive colleagues at every level and with your support.
