Dear subscriber,

Since we announced ([link removed]) the start of our end-of-the-year fundraising drive, we have received 74 online donations totaling $9,485.

Thanks to all those who have responded to our annual appeal, which helps supplement the founding grant we received from the Annenberg Foundation to launch FactCheck.org 16 years ago. Your donation helps extend the life of FactCheck.org and allows us to hold politicians accountable for another year.

If you would like to contribute to FactCheck.org, a credit card donation may be made through our “Donate” page ([link removed]) . If you prefer to give by check, send it to:

FactCheck.org is a project of the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Public Policy Center. The university is a 501(c)3 organization, so your contribution is deductible from U.S. federal income taxes to the full extent allowed by law. The university’s tax ID number is 23-1352685.

Our policy is to disclose the identity of any individual donor giving $1,000 or more. We also disclose the total amount, average amount and number of individual donations. We do not seek and have never accepted, directly or indirectly, any funds from unions, partisan organizations or advocacy groups. We do not accept funds from corporations with the exception of Facebook ([link removed]) , which provides funding as part of Facebook’s initiative ([link removed]) to debunk viral deceptions circulating on the social media site. Facebook has no control over our editorial decisions.

Thank you again for your support. Have a happy and healthy new year.
