Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said if the GOP wins control of the House next month, they’ll use debt ceiling negotiations to force through their agenda to cut Social Security, Medicare, and critical funding for Ukraine.

I always put our country over partisan politics -- I have ever since I joined the Naval Academy at 18 years old. But McCarthy and Washington Republicans are putting their politics over what’s best for our country. 

Millions of New Jerseyans get their health care through Medicare and hundreds of thousands depend on their Social Security checks to retire securely. McCarthy’s threats are a direct threat to New Jerseyans’ health and livelihoods.

This is another reason why it’s so important we defend our House majority and make sure McCarthy and the GOP don’t take the reins. 

The only way to do that is by winning battleground races like ours.
