Friend,

In less than two weeks, ballots will be counted in this race, and the good news is that we’ve built some incredible momentum leading into Election Day.

Fundraising reports from last quarter are now public, and we have out-raised my opponent Esther King! This is a big deal, especially considering how we did it: Since announcing our campaign to keep IL-17 blue, over 17,000 individual donors have chipped in an average donation under $100 to help us do it. That's true grassroots power, and it's a sign of our widespread support in Central and Northwest Illinois.

That’s the good news. Now for the bad news…

Despite out-raising King, we're still being outspent on TV when you factor in the dark-money super PACs operating in our community. These groups are running vicious attack ads against me.

We’ve worked so hard, but it’s clear we need to keep pushing through these final weeks. YOU (yes you, team) have helped us keep pace with Kevin McCarthy's super PAC. We have a strong chance of winning, but we can't take anything for granted. Not right now.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for our campaign so far. With Esther King and Kevin McCarthy ramping up the attacks, I’m hoping you can chip in a contribution of $5 or more to keep our momentum going.

I don’t believe for a second that money will be the only deciding factor in this race. But the truth is that every poll and projection tells us that this will be one of the tightest House races in the country!

We can’t leave anything to chance, and we certainly can't give King a free shot at a fundraising advantage without fighting back. That’s why your support is so critical.

Thanks in advance for chipping in.

- Eric
