Val Demings has seen the horrors of gun violence up close and personal. As a police officer and chief, she stood with families at scenes where mothers, fathers, sons, daughters -- too many cherished loved ones -- lost their lives to gun violence.

She mourned with her Orlando community after gun violence ripped through Pulse nightclub and took 49 innocent lives.

She brought these experiences to Congress where she passed legislation to prevent gun violence and save lives. When Val Demings gets to the Senate, she's committed to passing universal background checks and a ban on high-capacity magazines. With recent polls showing a close race, now is our best opportunity to elect a gun safety champion to the Senate and send Rubio packing.
