What We Learned at the Brain Longevity® Symposium

Dear John,
The Brain Longevity Symposium had a phenomenal turnout with registrants following along on via Zoom and YouTube.

What did we learn from the brain health experts?

Helen Lavretsky, MD, MS, revealed the incredible groundbreaking and healing benefits of yoga and Kirtan Kriya on multiple aspects of aging, health, longevity, mood, resilience, genetics, reduced inflammation, and improved memory.

Katerina Sheardova, MD, PhD, shared how spirituality and religiosity reduce the risk for Alzheimer's disease. We heard the definition and demonstration of how yoga is a self-empowerment and self-healing practice, including ethical habits and self-discovery. We had an excellent discussion on moving from outside to within to achieve bliss.

Chris Walling, PSY.D, MBA, C-IAYT, SEP, explored how spiritual well-being has a significant effect on brain atrophy. How eastern philosophies and spiritual traditions integrate with modern psychology. We heard about the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being and other illnesses, as well as the power of posture and consciousness, which was fascinating. And finally, we learned how we are all interdependent beings, as part of our evolution as human beings and that without supporting relationships, we do not thrive as we should.

Thank you to all those who registered, and of course, to our phenomenal panel of experts.

Yours in Brain Health,

Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D.
President / Medical Director

Brain Longevity Spotlight
Roger Mallory, Juris Doctor, RYT500, BA, BLS
"I was impressed by the energy my students invested in the Kirtan Kriya training and practices. As a regular teacher of meditation, it doesn’t get any better than having a classroom full of students participating with devotion and attention to all the modalities of their meditation practice. My concern that attendees would be too shy to invest the appropriate energy in their vocalization portions was proven unwarranted. The strong, collective, and harmonious sounds reverberated in the room."

There are no requirements or prerequisites to becoming a Brain Longevity Specialist– this course is for anyone interested in improving brain health and living a long, healthy life. For more information visit arpf.com.
