U.S. Congressman Bob Good Declares Victory in Hampden-Sydney Debate
Lynchburg, VA – U.S. Congressman Bob Good (VA-5) said this in response to the debate that took place at Hampden-Sydney College tonight:
"I want to thank Hampden-Sydney College for hosting tonight's debate along with our Moderator, Mark Spain from WSET ABC 13 in Lynchburg. I also want to thank my supporters who attended in person, and those who watched live online.
It is clear from tonight's debate that there are significant policy differences between myself and my opponent, and disparate visions for our country. He’s obsessed with climate change, while I’m focused on economic policy changes that will reduce the price of gas and help hard working families put food on the table. He believes so-called healthcare practitioners should be permitted to surgically mutilate the bodies of minor children, while I believe children should be protected from these criminal procedures. He believes in open borders that bring drugs and crime to every state in the nation, while I believe in securing our borders.
The people of the district know who shares their values, and I have worked hard to earn their support again on November 8th."
