Friend,
Last week, climate researchers released a study warning that glacier
melt in the Arctic could unleash frozen viruses that could lead to
future pandemics. The corporate media didn't even mention it.
Today, UN climate scientists warned of cataclysmic global temperatures
by the century's end if urgent action is not taken, but did you see
major outlets cover this terrifying news?
There's no greater threat to the future of life on Earth than the
climate emergency, but serious discussion of the issue is nowhere in the
corporate media's coverage of the midterm elections.
I'll be honest. It pisses me off that the corporate outlets still
refuse to cover the climate emergency the way that they should.
And that's why it's so essential for Common Dreams to continue to
provide the daily front-page coverage of the climate emergency that the
corporate media won't.
If you agree this global crisis should be vigilantly covered as top
news, please support Common Dreams by helping us reach our must-hit Fall
Campaign goal.
