There’s been a big development in the race for New Mexico Attorney General. RAGA—the Republican Attorneys General Association—has dumped over $350,000 in TV ads to influence the race against Raúl Torrez and smear his record.

This is the same group who helped put Ken Paxton in the Texas Attorney General’s office and is still supporting him even as he faces charges of fraud and bribery.

New Mexicans have a decision to make about who will be the top prosecutor in our state. Do we want a Republican supported by those who celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade? Or do we want a lifelong public servant who will stand up for a woman’s right to choose and control her own destiny?

If you want an Attorney General who will defend democracy, protect our communities and natural resources, and stand up for a woman’s right to choose, that’s Raúl Torrez.
